ROC V BANDS
| ROC V will have special live performances by Exit Verona, Hat Trick, Modern Justice and Guilty Pleasures. |
| Exit Verona formed in March 2003 when the members of Pearl Jam Tribute "Riot Act" teamed up with singer Mike Difilippi, formerly of the New York City rock band Clinton Road. The two were introduced through a mutual acquaintance, and the quintet began writing and rehearsing on a daily basis, penning twelve original compositions within an eight week period. Influenced by a diverse array of artists including Social Distortion, Ben Harper, Radiohead, Luna, Pearl Jam, Elliott Smith, and Pink Floyd, Exit Verona blends urgent punk rock guitar riffs with ethereal melodies and introspective lyrics. The result is a parade of contagious choruses and pointed chord progressions. Exit Verona has performed at many of the area's premiere rock clubs, such as CBGBs, The Lion's Den, Acme UnderGround, Don Hill's, The Continental, B.B. Kings, and Kenny's Castaways. Exit Verona is currently prepping their third full length album which will be released in 2012. |
| HAT TRICK is Barry Hirsch (Acoustic Guitar-Vocals), Larry Daithe (lead vocals) and Ron Sacks (Acoustic Guitar-Vocals). Ron and Barry's exceptional guitar abilities clearly push the envelope of what other more traditional acoustic acts perform and they provide solid vocal backup, making extensive use of 3-part harmony to thicken the already rich 2-guitar sound. Larry's voice allows the group great flexibility. From warm ballads and soulful R&B to blistering, raspy rockers, his diverse style allows the group to deliver an always interesting and eclectic set of music. Hat Trick covers an exceptionally broad range of music, surveying Rock and Pop classics from the '60s to the '90s, to some of today's more popular hits. They're all about a good time, interacting with their audience, taking requests from listeners and tailoring their sets to meet people's tastes. Hat Trick may be an acoustic trio, but expect much more than a three chord folk act. While we can easily perform much of the standard acoustic repertoire, we're also able to attack full band rockers few others would dare to attempt, re-orchestrating chords, basslines, and percussion parts between only two acoustic guitars. It's a challenge we truly enjoy, and know you'll enjoy too... |
